Walkingjersey has for a number of years organised a number of charity Challenges
for our preferred charity 'Help an African Schoolchild Trust'
which is a Jersey
based charity that works in both Zambia and Tanzania. If you would like to see
the work they are doing and some of the challenges we have organised for them
then visit their website www.hast.org.uk.
Two of the most recent challenges that we organised for them was the Morocco
Challenge , a weeks walking culminating in trekking to the summit of Mount
Toubkal.. This took place in late August 2006 and 10 people completed the
challenge and raised over £3,500 for the charity.
Our next challenge for this particular charity is the Mount Kilimanjaro
Challenge which takes place this October 13th -23rd 2007 The trip includes the 6
day climb of Mount Kilimanjaro followed by a 3 day safari.

If you represent a charity and would like us to organise a challenge for you
then please contact us via our webform
If you are an individual who wants to raise money for a charity of your choice
then come on one of our charity challenges and specify which charity you want to
donate your sponsor money to. We will then send the cheque you have written out
to the charity and they will then send you a receipt.
Our Charity Challenges have two elements:
Cost of the Challenge + sponsorship needed to be raised (For the charity of your
choice)
Each Charity Challenge will outline the cost of the challenge and the amount
needed to be raised in sponsorship. We have some challenges designated for the
charity of our Choice 'Help an African Schoolchild Trust'. If you came on one of
these then the sponsorship money raised would be given to that charity.
